How I Built a Global Personal Brand in a Week: Insights on Passion, Productivity, and Impact
Nov 19, 2024Revenue Is Vanity, Profit Is Sanity, But Connection Is Infinity
— Alina Linzi
Last week, I worked over 10 hours a day and accomplished the following:
- Built my global personal website, alinalinzi.com, in just three days.
- Prepared a full training session for my partner program in one day.
- Launched a global community for one-person entrepreneurs in two days.
- Designed a new global personal branding business model and lead generation product in a single day.
Surprisingly, last week was the happiest I’ve been all year. I was completely immersed in learning, creating, and delivering results, blocking out all external distractions. When my husband, Mr. Chen, asked me to take a break and go out, I told him:
“I love working. I just want to work. Please don’t interrupt me!”
For the first time in a long time, I wished I had more hours in the day. The last time I felt this way was three years ago when I founded my Freepreneur Coach platform, or a year ago when I developed the Super Homepage app. I thrive on the process of building something from nothing.
This time, I decided to document everything — the successes, the mistakes, and the lessons learned. By transparently sharing my journey of building a global personal brand, I hope to inspire others who want to follow a similar path.
The Joy of Creation: From Zero to One
Building a website is a lesson in patience. From choosing the right platform and template to crafting copy, designing buttons, structuring navigation, and uploading products, every detail matters. Last week, I found myself repeatedly scrapping sections and starting over from scratch. Every minor adjustment to the copy meant revisiting multiple pages to maintain consistency.
Yet, I thoroughly enjoyed the process.
Honestly, after finishing my website, I thought: no wonder so many people struggle to build personal brands. How many people are willing to start from zero, teach themselves, iterate endlessly, and — most importantly — publish quickly instead of obsessing over perfection?
Looking at my students, it’s clear that those who succeed in building their personal brands and monetizing quickly all share three key traits:
- The ability to learn fast.
- The courage to iterate consistently.
- The boldness to share publicly.
This combination isn’t something you can learn in a classroom. It’s a mindset and skillset that grows with action.
Training That Simplifies
On Saturday, I delivered an intensive masterclass for my Freepreneur Collective partners: How to Build a Personal Brand That Grows in Value Over Time. In this session, I connected the concept of branding with personal career development and shared five AI prompts that helped participants:
- Craft a personal branding strategy.
- Generate content ideas.
- Write long-form articles for blogs or newsletters.
- Create short-form content for social media.
- Develop impactful, shareable quotes.
During the session, I showed how AI tools could be used to design a personal branding strategy tailored to each participant’s unique background. By combining strategic positioning with AI-powered tools, we mapped out a complete content pipeline.
After the session, I joked with my students: “This lesson might put me out of a job.” The AI prompts I shared can help anyone create a full personal branding strategy in minutes, effectively replacing the hours I’d typically spend coaching them through the process.
The workshop lasted three and a half hours, and no one wanted to leave. Students skipped meals just to stay till the end. Some even asked me not to share the AI-related content with anyone outside the session because they found it so game-changing.
Why I’m Not Afraid of Competition
I don’t believe I have competitors — because we’re not even playing the same game.
- While other coaching programs focus on certification exams, I solve the real-world problems of employment and entrepreneurship for coaches.
- While other branding experts teach trends like copying viral content, I focus on creating long-term brand equity using AI-powered SEO strategies.
- While other business coaches compete in the saturated social media space, I teach my students the foundational logic of branding, leveraging AI to boost productivity.
For the past three years, I’ve always been ahead of the curve — paving the way for others and providing actionable methods. I’m not worried about being copied or surpassed. Not because I’m invincible, but because I genuinely love what I do. This passion fuels me effortlessly to create value and innovate continuously.
In my Minimalist Entrepreneurship course, I emphasized that the future of marketing is “delivery-driven marketing.” Everything I say is rooted in principles I live by.
In the age of AI, knowledge alone isn’t worth much anymore. What’s valuable is lowering the barriers to action for others. That’s why I plan to share more knowledge and courses for free while reserving my paid offerings for deeper, more hands-on guidance.
Building a Decentralized Community
Because I learn so quickly, I often don’t have the bandwidth to create content for every platform. Nor do I want to compete in the oversaturated Chinese social media space. To organize and share knowledge more effectively, I launched a global community on Skool — a platform similar to China’s Knowledge Planet but designed for more structured learning.
For $99/month, I’ve created the Freepreneur Collective community, aiming to attract 10,000 global members. This space is for one-person entrepreneurs worldwide to connect, share, and learn without borders, language barriers, or information gaps.
In the future, I hope to help my partners create their own global communities, enabling us to work together in a decentralized ecosystem of one-person businesses. This vision aligns perfectly with the philosophy behind the Super Homepage app I created: empowering individuals to see a bigger world and believe in their potential.
A Vision for the Future
My ultimate goal is to build a decentralized ecosystem for one-person businesses. I want to help others see beyond their current realities and believe in the limitless possibilities of their lives and careers.
My Freepreneur Collective community is free to join, but applicants must contribute value and engage actively. If someone doesn’t meet these criteria, I have no hesitation about removing them.
I don’t care about vanity metrics. What I value is deep, meaningful connections.
